The short answer is “yes.”

What viagra does is increase the ability of blood to flow into the soft, erectile tissue and blood vessels of your penis.

This makes it easier for you to get and keep an erection. It can also give you a firmer erection that improves the sexual experience for you and your partner.

The effect of Viagra can vary from person to person. Ideally, sildenafil should be taken 60 minutes before it is needed and it can last up to 4 hours. Generally, however, the effect wears off after 2 to 3 hours

How long does it take for Viagra to work?

The effect of Viagra should occur within 30 minutes after taking it. However, this may differ from person to person. Usually, sexual stimulation is needed to cause an erection together with Viagra. If you are taking Viagra for the first time, you might not get the desired results right away, but you should take sildenafil once a day for a few more days, which should improve the effect.

What Factors Affect Viagra Longevity and Dosage?

The dose and effects of the drug Viagra (Sildenafil) can differ from person to person. Some of the factors that affect how Sildenafil works are:

  • Drug Interactions: Viagra can interact with various medications, affecting its effectiveness or causing unwanted side effects.
  • Health: Viagra is not recommended for older men who have liver or kidney problems. Since the liver is not in the best condition, it may take longer for Viagra to be broken down by it. Kidney problems, on the other hand, could ensure that the drug is excreted faster than desired.
  • Alcohol: Drinking more than 2-3 units of alcohol can affect the way Viagra works. Alcohol damages the nervous system, making it harder to get an erection. High alcohol levels also affect the absorption of the drug and can cause the drug to be eliminated from the body more quickly as the body tries to bring alcohol levels back to normal. It’s also important to note that both Viagra and alcohol can lower your blood pressure , which is why side effects like dizziness and fainting can occur.
  • Diet: Consuming Viagra with a heavy meal high in protein and fat may delay the effects of Viagra. The body will focus on digesting the food before taking on the Viagras. Because of this, taking Viagra on an empty stomach can produce faster results.
  • Age: Viagra generally lasts longer in men over the age of 65 than in younger men. This is due to the slower metabolism. In older men, the drug stays in the bloodstream longer, producing a longer-lasting effect.
